The Best Rental Building outside of Manhattan, hands down…

Filed under: Uncategorized — Eric Benaim @ 1:27 am

Well i got a call that the newest edition to the Rockrose, East Coast Project had just opened, so i decided to take a tour, and boy was it impressive!!!

394 units in all, the building is amazing, the ammenities are rediculous, there is a huge roof top pool enclosed in a glass dome like structure, probably the largest outdoor deck i have ever seen, that will be landscaped, and have BBQ’s, the screening room is an actual movie theater, not some small cheesey screening room that most buildings have, and it will host film festivals.  The fitness center, spa, and lounge are also impressive. In regards of the apartments and finishes, well you can tell they were carefully thought out. The building was built better then most condo’s you see, with very generous layouts and more closet space then you know what to do with. Click for more info…

The three models that they had were really nice, the studio plus home office being my favorite and with over 1000sqft of space for a studio it was really impressive.  There are alot of unique layouts and not really that cookie cutter.

Prices are a bit expensive, Studio’s from $2020, 1 bedrooms from $2695 and two bedrooms from $3760, many units have outdoor space and amazing views of Manhattan.  There is onsite parking for 900 cars, and the retail portion will include a Duane Reade, Amish Market, Starbucks, and a restaurant.  These are No Fee apartments, which is nice, so anyone looking for assistance feel free to contact me.  Its actually nice to see that Rockrose are doing good on the East Coast project, architecturally speaking the building is beautiful, it’s a shame Avalon Riverview had to go on the cheap end, even down to there wired closet shelving.

  1. Oh wait. Yes, I have. I’m sorry, but I just don’t have it in me right now to type it all out again. Besides, it was just ramblings anyway. You didn’t want to hear me go on and on about this, right?

  2. Wait a minute, the building will have a Duane Reade and a Starbucks–where’s the Washington Mutual? Recent legislation mandates that all “luxury” residential buildings have all three. It is unimaginable that future renters would be forced to go more than ten steps from their movie theater seats to conduct their personal banking.

  4. Amenities are good and dandy, but $2020 for a studio in LIC? Is anyone else amazed? Yes 1,000 feet is large, but so is the price. There is a reason one moves to LIC, for affordability, not a “movie theater.” As for the theater, I assume that if you can afford over $2,000 in rent, you most likely have a tv and a dvd player in your own apartment. Who wants to sit in a public space that get’s nasty after a few months to watch a movie when you can do the same thing in your own apartment that you are paying 2k for?

  6. Don’t bother. I live here, Rockrose sucks, the lie, the location sucks, and its just as expensive as Manhattan. I regret the choice.

  7. I have saw the building and it is very impressive. The screening room, gym, pool room etc are all great but again, the average manhattanite that works retarded hours a day (i.e. Me) basically wants a presentable place where ince can crash and be comfy. This place is nice BUT still not not the as convenient as they are selling it to be (You still have to walk 3-5 blocks to get to grungy subway thru “developing” area – not as safe as manhattan at night). I don’t care about any stigma or label about LIC but this place is too inconvenient for manhattan type asking rents. I dont see how they plan to fill these apts.
